Unable to connect medical college in spite of having cleared the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) earlier and attempting to move forward his score this time around, a 19-year-old boy allegedly killed himself on Wednesday.
Preliminary inquiries revealed that the boy was disquiet for some time over the NEET exam slated to be held on September 13. Latching on to the incident, Tamil Nadu parties reiterated their demand for denying the test.
The body of the boy, was recognized afterward as Vignesh, was found floating in a well at a village near here, police said.
“He had gone to sleep last night as regular.
His family individuals found him lost from the home early this morning and his body was afterward found floating in a well in his village,” police said. Vignesh passed 12th standard two years back and he was from Elanthankuzhi village in Ariyalur district.
DMK Leader M K Stalin, communicating grief over the NEET aspirant’s suicide, said one more life has been lost over the national test.
