Former Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister M. Sivasankar had filed petitions in the Kerala High Court seeking pre-bail in the ongoing case of the Kerala Gold Smuggling Enforcement and Customs Department.
After hearing the petitions, delivered its verdict today. The Judges then refused to grant anticipatory bail to Sivashankar. His petitions were also dismissed.
Sivasankara was taken away by the enforcement officers for questioning. He was admitted to the Ayurveda Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram and was taken away by the authorities. He is expected to be arrested at the end of the trial. Sivashankar has been suspended on charges of gold smuggling.
