Rajesh had made arrangements for a football match in Vyasarpadi on the 4th to mark his birthday. Accordingly, he went to Vyasarpadi on Sunday and started the football match and came in his car to his friend’s office on MTH Road where he was talking to friends.
Then, a gang of 8 people wearing helmets and masks suddenly broke in and slapped Rajesh, the lawyer there, on the head with a scythe. In this, he died on the spot.
In this regard, the Villivakkam police filed a case. Anna Nagar Assistant Commissioner of Police Balamurugan led 4 special forces to investigate.
Eight persons surrendered before Judge Kalimuthuvel at 11 am today (Oct. 6) in the Vaniyambadi Joint Court, Tirupati District, in connection with the murder case of lawyer Rajesh. They are Murugesan (30) from Vyasarpadi PV Colony, Chennai, Ramesh (22) from the Chinnakarai area of Kumbakonam, Arun (22) from Vyasarpadi Gangochinagar, Srinath (21) from Kumbakonam, Vairamani (20) from Tirunelveli, and Rukkeswaran (20) from Vyasarpadi. It was revealed that Sanjay (21) is Groshkumar (26) from Tiruvallur.
Following this, Judge Kalimuthuvel ordered the court to remand the eight persons who surrendered in the murder case. Meanwhile, the Villivakkam Police filed a petition in the Vaniyambadi court this evening to take into custody and interrogate the 8 surrenderees.
