NEP-2020 is the primary education policy of the 21st century which was reported after 34 years earlier National Policy on Education in 1986, according to the Prime Minister’s Office. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had addressed the inaugural session of the Governors’ Conference on the National Education Policy (NEP).
We are working to form India as an information economy. “To tackle brain drain, the NEP has paved the way for opening campuses of the best worldwide education in the nation to bring them within reach of youth from basic families,” the Prime Minister said. “It is our collective responsibility that the policy is executed in letter and soul.
“The more teachers, parents, students are associated with the education policy, the more significant and broad-based it will be,” the PM added. The conference titled ‘Role of NEP-2020 in Transforming Higher Education’ was organized by the Ministry of Education.
Mr.RamnathKovind said the new National Education Policy makes it clear that the public education framework is the basis of a vibrant law-based society and asserted that reinforcing open educational institutions is therefore of prime importance. He said that integration of innovation within the Education System will further boost the remedial measures and educated that a National Educational Technology Forum will soon be set up in the country to recommend such measures to all partners.
