Tiruvallur: SB Balasubramaniam, popularly known as “Paadum Nilave”, was treated at the MGM Hospital in Chennai for a lung infection. He had been receiving treatment for the last 35 days and passed on recently due to health problems.

Later, his body was taken to his home in Nungambakkam. At Nungambakkam, the public paid tribute to him. Following this, his body was brought to the Tamaraipakkam farmhouse in Sengundram last night due to the increase of crowd.
Police announced that “The public is not permitted to pay final tribute to SBP’s body at the farmhouse”. However, as soon as his body has arrived, a lot of people groups assembled to pay the final tribute to him.
Following this, arrangements were made for the public to pay their respects from the early morning. SBP’s body is being cremated at the Sengundram farmhouse today. The government is honoring him with 21 bombs.
