The border issue between India and China has been lingering for a long time. Clashes between India and China have been intensifying in recent times due to encroachment by Chinese troops on the original Line of Control in Ladakh.
Officials from both countries have been in talks at various stages to defuse tensions. However, no constructive agreement has been reached so far in the talks. The 7th round of talks between the Indo-Chinese military officials is scheduled to take place on October 12 to defuse tensions. Foreign ministry officials are also expected to attend the talks.

On the eastern Ladakh border, military officials said they would ensure that “the two countries do not carry out any new operations, including the deployment of additional troops to maintain peace, as bad weather prevails for the next 4 months, including heavy snowfall.”
