The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested two people, including a Chennai bank employee, in connection with the sending of men to the IS.
A statement from the National Investigation Agency on Thursday said: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday arrested two convicts, Ahmed Abdul Qadir and Irfan Nasir, in connection with a Bangalore-based recruitment drive for IS.

Among them is Ahmed Abdul Qadir, a business analyst working for a private bank in Chennai. Irfan Nasir is a rice trader from Bangalore.
Both were produced before the National Investigation Agency in Bangalore in a special court and allowed to stand trial for ten days. A serious investigation is ongoing to find out the complete conspiracy.
The group has been working to mobilize and brainwash Muslim youth in India and send them to Syria to work for the IS. Large sums of money have been raised for this. Thus, the statement said.
