The Sabarimala temple opens today for poojas. Devotees will be allowed to perform darshan for the first time today after 7 months. The Sabarimala temple was inaugurated last February for the Masi Poojas.

From the 18th of that month, the temple was closed due to coronavirus. That was the last time devotees were allowed. Following the announcement of relaxations in lockdown conditions, it was decided to allow worshipers across the country.
Accordingly, it has been decided to allow 1,000 devotees daily from the month of November to begin at the Sabarimala Iyappan Temple. It was also decided to allow only devotees who book online.
The temple is going to open today at 5 p.m. Devotees are allowed for the first darshan today after 7 months. The Kerala government has announced that devotees will be allowed to perform darshan only under the corona guidelines. The temple will be open till the 21st. Until then, 250 devotees will be allowed to darshan daily. The Sabarimala temple will be reopened on November 15.
