The bus service, which was suspended due to the Corona curfew, has resumed from today. To prevent the spread of the corona, the government canceled all public transport services, including bus-train, from March. Then about 6 months later the service of government and private buses was gradually started due to the curfew relaxation given by the government in September.
“Around 500 buses, which were registered under Tamilnadu Government are decided to operate from CMBT within the various parts of the state,” said Mr.Anabalagan from All Omni Bus Operator Association.
From the 7th of September public transport was allowed to the outer districts from Chennai. As a result, the government express buses also came into use. Presently, the infection that occurred by Covid-19 is started to decrease eventually, therefore the Government of Tamil Nadu has given permission to run private and Omnibuses.

The disinfectant was sprayed on buses parked at the premises of Koyambedu, Chennai. The windows and seat curtains on the buses, which had been lying around for six months, were removed and replaced with new ones. The buses were ready to run from yesterday evening, and were started running from 3 am today morning. Drives expressed their happiness by loading camphor and breaking coconuts in front of buses.
