On the eve of the AIADMK’s 49th-year inauguration, Chief Minister Palanisamy hoisted the party flag in his home village and paid floral tributes to former chief ministers MGR and Jayalalithaa.
The 49th anniversary of the AIADMK is being celebrated today (Oct.17). AIADMK volunteers across Tamil Nadu celebrated the 49th anniversary of the party by hoisting flags and offering sweets in Union, Municipal and Metropolitan areas.
AIADMK Deputy Co-ordinator and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Palanisamy today attended the 49th year inauguration ceremony in his hometown of Chiluvampalayam, hoisted the party flag, and distributed sweets to the volunteers.

Earlier, Chief Minister Palanisamy paid floral tributes to the portraits of former chief ministers MGR and Jayalalithaa, which were adorned with colorful flowers on the stage.
The function was attended by a large number of AIADMK executives and volunteers from the Salem suburban district, including state councilor Chandrasekaran, Amma Peravai district chairman Madesh and Edappadi Southern Union secretary Matheswaran.
