Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s Pakistan Muslim League party, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and 11 opposition parties formed a coalition called the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) last month against the government of Prime Minister Imran Khan in Pakistan.
The movement staged a massive rally in Karachi yesterday against the Imran Khan. It was attended by thousands of supporters.
Nawaz Sharif’s daughter, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has spoken out about making Nawaz Sharif the prime minister again in Pakistan and sending Imran Khan to jail.
In this case, the police have arrested Safdar Awan, the husband of Maryam Nawaz. While Maryam and her husband were staying at a hotel in Karachi, the police who went there arrested Safdar.
Maryam Nawaz posted on her Twitter page that the police had broken the room door and arrested her husband. The incident has caused a stir in Pakistani politics.
