He, however, holds a special place for Bengali movie lovers for being Feluda. Soumitra Chatterjee collaborated with Oscar-winner Satyajit Ray on several films, including The World Of Apu or Apu’r Shangshar, but the Feluda series is unforgettable.
Soumitra Chatterjee’s oxygen level is normal and the veteran actor is responding well to treatment, his doctors said in Kolkata. Soumitra Chatterjee has been put off a high dose of steroids after he started improving. Soumitra Chatterjee had tested negative for coronavirus on Friday, October 16, however, the veteran actor is still admitted to the Belle Vue Clinic in Kolkata. He has been under the care of a team of doctors at the private nursing home since his admission. Soumitra Chatterjee had tested positive for coronavirus on October 5 and was soon put on a ventilator after his health deteriorated.

As per the latest reports, he has been shifted out of Covid ICU and there are no new complications.Soumitra Chatterjee reportedly is being given music therapy to improve his condition. The doctor said, “In terms of treatment, we have completed the course of remdesivir plasma and others…let’s all hope that he gets better. For music therapy, we have given him the choice of music that he used to like before he went into this neurological slump. Rabindra sangeet and music from his films, we are playing it off and he has responded well to that also.”
