Kanchipuram, popularly known as the “Silk City in TamilNadu”, the silk saree trade was paralyzed due to the Corona epidemic. So the traders and weavers suffered.
Due to the relaxation of the curfew order, co-operative societies selling silk sarees and private companies were opened and the silk saree trade was reduced.
A large number of people from different parts of the country gathered at the silk saree shops and silk co-operative societies in Kanchipuram to buy silk sarees.
After a long day, traders are happy as the silk saree business is starting to catch on. Despite the sale of silk sarees, visitors from outside to buy silk sarees parked their vehicles on the side of the road, causing traffic congestion on the main roads in Kanchipuram.
