The large number of customers at the shop was a clear violation of coronavirus protocols, which led to the shop being sealed.
After sealing Kumaran Silks on Tuesday, the Greater Chennai Corporation has warned that action will be taken against all those who don’t follow the instructions given that need to be followed during the coronavirus pandemic.
The viral video shows hundreds of people gathered at the Kumaran Silks shop in Chennai with no distance being maintained. The customers can be seen standing close to each other in the crowded confines with hardly anyone wearing masks.
