As a part of the Central government, the Chennai Metro service began its operation from Sep.7.
Except for a few members, the crowd was very limited. The minimum passengers who go for the metro rail will wear a mask and follow the social distancing norms.
Due to the festival season, the Chennai Metro will run today (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday) from 9 pm to 11 pm. Similarly, the upcoming 27th (Tuesday) will run from 5 am to 9 pm instead of 7 am.
Similarly, trains will run till 11 pm on the 29th (Thursday). Trains will run from 5 am to 9 pm instead of 7 am on the following day (Monday).
Chennai Metro Rail officials have given the above information.
