Nayanthara and RJ Balaji’s upcoming film Mookuthi Amman, which has been lying on the shelves for 7 months, will finally see the light of the day.
RJ Balaji, in his latest Instagram post, has hinted about the film’s release with a cryptic message. On October 5, social media was abuzz with rumours that Mookuthi Amman will directly stream on Disney+ Hotstar on Diwali 2020. An official confirmation on the same is still awaited.
Sharing a poster from Mookuthi Amman, RJ Balaji wrote, “Thank you so much for this unbelievable love, appreciation and support for Tamil commentary.!!! Blessed !!! I will be ‘coming back to cricket’ real soon !!! And it’s time for Mookuthi Amman (sic).”
Apart from streaming on the OTT platform, it is speculated that the film will also be aired on Star Vijay on Diwali 2020. If the rumours are believed to be true, then Mookuthi Amman is the first Tamil film to have its director satellite premiere during the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Mookuthi Amman was slated to release in theatres on May 1. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the film’s release was postponed indefinitely. The latest rumour about Mookuthi Amman’s OTT release has got fans quite excited.
