The first phase of polling for 71 constituencies in the Bihar Assembly elections began at 7 am today.

There are 1,066 candidates running in this election, including 114 women. There is also a convenient postal voting procedure for senior citizens over the age of 80 or people with disabilities to vote. According to the Election Commission, more than 52,000 people are expected to vote.
Various regulations for corona protection measures have been laid down and announced. 7 lakh sanitizers, 46 lakh masks, 6 lakh personal protective equipment, 6.7 lakh face shields, and 23 lakh pairs of gloves have been arranged.
The Central government has mobilized 30,000 Central Security Forces personnel for security ahead of the polls. Additional security has been put in place in Terrorist-dominated constituencies.
