Mani Ratnam, the leading director of Tamil cinema, is next co-producing the anthology film ‘Navarasa’ with Jayendra. Karthik Narain, Karthik Supuraj, K.V. Anand, Bijay Nambiar, Ponram, Gautham Menon, Rathindran Prasad, Halita Shameem, and Aravindsamy are the 9 directors. With this, actor Aravindsamy makes his directorial debut.
The anthology is aimed at raising funds for the film industry, which has been hit hard by Corona. All the artists who work on this film have worked for free, with the sole purpose of supporting the film industry.
Starring Surya, Vijay Sethupathi, Aravind Samy, Siddharth, Prakash Raj, Saravanan, Alagham Perumal, Prasanna, Vikrant, Gautam Karthik, Ashok Selvan, Robo Shankar, Ramesh Tilak. Actresses Revathi, Nithya Menon, Parvathi, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Poornam Ritvika are also in the cast.
Santosh Sivan, Balasubramaniam, Manoj Paramahamsa, Harshveer Oberoi, Sujit Sarang, V. Babu, Viraj Singh, Abhinandan, and Shreyas Krishna are the cinematographers. It will be composed by A.R Rahman, D Iman, Jibran, Aruldev, Karthik, Ron Ethan Johan, Govind Vasantha and Justin Prabhakaran.
