Kaliyappan (age 57) hails from RVP Puthur near Palakkad. He has a wife and a daughter. Kaliyappan, who is addicted to alcohol, comes home drunk every day and quarrels with his wife and daughter. Accordingly, he came home drunk on the day of the incident. He then quarreled with his wife and daughter.
Thus, the two of them together pushed Kaliyappan out of the house and slammed the door. Kaliyappan, who was standing outside, knocked on the door several times but they did not open it. Thus he kept knocking on the door.
The wife and daughter then opened the door and came out. It seems that Kaliyappan then Mercilessly beat his wife and daughter. Neighbors rushed him to the Palakkad Government Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
There he was given intensive treatment. However, he died tragically without the benefit of treatment. Palakkad police have registered a case and arrested Malathi.
