According to Tollywood sources, the TV broadcasting license of the movie ‘Vakil Saab’ starring Pawan Kalyan has been sold for around Rs 16 crore. ‘Pink’ is a Hindi movie starring Amitabh Bachchan and Topsy. In Tamil, it was remade under the title ‘Nerkonda Parvai’ starring Ajith and Shraddha Srinath.
Next, the film is being remade in Telugu under the title ‘Vakil Saab’ starring Pawan Kalyan, Anjali, and Niveda Thomas. Co-produced by Dil Raju and Bonnie Kapoor, the film is set to hit theaters ahead of the Pongal festival.
The film is expected to be a turning point for actor Pawan Kalyan after the failure of ‘Agnyaathavaasi’ in 2018. Filming on the curfew is set to resume in November and the film is scheduled to finish in full in December.
According to Tollywood sources, Gemini TV has now bought the television broadcasting license for the film for Rs 16.5 crore. Producer Dil Raju has planned to release the film only in theaters, though many sites have expressed interest in releasing the OTT. Therefore, the digital license has not yet been sold. That too seems to be selling for crores of rupees.
