A new 4 apartment is being constructed at Kodipalaya in the Bangalore Kengeri police area. The building is owned by Ramesh. A large number of workers have set up small huts near the building. Similarly, a couple from Koppal district are living in a hut there. The couple had a 2-year-old child named Vinod.
The father of the child is working as a security guard at a private hospital. Yesterday morning he went to work as usual. The baby’s mother had also gone for a bath in the morning. On that occasion, child Vinod, who was playing in front of the house, went into the newly constructed building. There was a 6 feet deep pit dug to set up the ‘lift’. Water stagnated in that pit.
At this point, the child who was playing inside the building unexpectedly slipped into the pit. Thus the child drowned and died miserably. When the mother searched for the missing child, it was revealed that the baby was lying dead in the water in the pit. She cried when she saw her baby’s body. Upon learning of the information, the Kengeri police rushed to the scene and seized the child’s body.
It was then revealed that the child had unexpectedly fallen and died in the stagnant water in the pit dug to set up the ‘lift’. Kengeri police have registered a case against the building owner Ramesh and are investigating. The incident caused the tragedy in the area.
