On Chennai roads, it is planned to impose fines on vehicles crossing the white line called ‘Stop Line’ near the signal. The traffic police were involved in raising awareness among motorists in this regard.
On roads, there is a white line called a stop line near the signal. Motorists must park their vehicles without crossing the white line once the red light on the signal is on. This is the rule of the road. There is a provision in the road rules to impose fines for violating this. This makes it impossible for pedestrians to cross the road on their way.
Also, the cause of the accident is set. It also makes it impossible for vehicles to move easily from side roads. The traffic police are planning to impose fines on motorists who park beyond the white line known as the stop line in Chennai after the red light on the signals burns.
In turn, it was decided to launch an awareness campaign for motorists in Chennai. Accordingly, the traffic police started this awareness campaign yesterday. Traffic police said the awareness campaign would run for 3 days, i.e. until tomorrow (Tuesday), after which drivers would be fined for parking beyond the stop line.

Traffic police led by Traffic Police Inspector Pandivelu engaged in an awareness campaign at the Chennai Vepery EVR Periyar Highway, EVK Sampath Road junction yesterday.
