Popular Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has sparked controversy by commenting that the state of Maharashtra makes Mumbai feel like Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and compares the Mumbai police with the mafia.
The Maharashtra government, which had condemned his remarks, demolished part of Kangana’s Mumbai office, which had been built illegally. Moreover, the coming of Kangana to the state of Maharashtra aroused strong condemnation.
However, the Himachal Pradesh government provided ‘Y Plus’ protection to Kangana. Following this, Kangana returned to Maharashtra from Himachal Pradesh with ‘Y Plus’ security. She currently resides in his home state of Himachal Pradesh. She has been commenting on various issues on his Twitter page including drug addiction in Bollywood.
Along with Kangana, his sister Rangoli Chandal has also been commenting on the social networking site. Shakil Ashraf Ali Syed has filed a complaint in the Bandra Magistrate’s Metropolitan Court in Mumbai alleging that all the comments posted by Kangana and his sister Rangoli on the social networking site in connection with the assassination of Paris teacher Samuel Bedi are disruptive to religious unity. The court hearing the case directed the police to file a case against Kangana and her sister.
Subsequently, Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel were booked under Sections 124A, 153A, and 295A of the Indian Penal Code for violating religious unity. Actress Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli have been summoned by the Mumbai Police to appear in person before the 10th of this month. The police have sent a summons.
